Deceitful and fraudulent behaviour, shady cancellation policies, dodgy auto-renewals and absolutely zero care for their customers.

Netregistry insist on charging my credit card for domain privacy for domains that I no longer own.

I've been a customer for 6+ years. After a week of trying to resolve what should have been a very simple thing to fix, I'm now instead cancelling all my business with Netregistry as quickly as humanly possible and warning others to stay WELL away!

If you take a minute to Google around, you'll quickly find many hundreds of other angry customers complaining about Netregistry's dodgy cancellation and auto-renewal practices. Trust me, it is no coincidence that Netregistry have such an overwhelmingly large amount of 1-star ratings on various independent review sites, such as productreview.com.au, trustpilot.com, hostadvice.com and many others.

In short, whilst you can let a domain name expire without any issues, Netregistry have (very conveniently) decided to have a completely different cancellation policy for add-on services, such as domain privacy. It's right there - hidden within 70+ pages of fine print, well beyond the reach of both logic, morals and common sense.

Netregistry will happily continue to charge you - despite not actually providing a service. When asked why I should be paying them for domain privacy for domains that I no longer own, there is no response other than pointing to their T&Cs.

So unless your life is just going TOO smoothly and you're feeling desperate to add in some more frustration, bullshit, complacency and deceitful business practices to spice things up a bit, I recommend you AVOID Netregistry!

When I started my business in 2011, Netregistry seemed like an affordable & reliable option. Over the years there has been a sharp decline in its ability to keep up with changes in technology. This has really impacted on their reliability. Then the flow on effect is that you have to go to support & that is just so frustrating and you are left without matters been resolved. Told that products are unreliable and yet you are still offered and charged for them?? Well, without a doubt, they have lost my business!

Hackers have gained access to my website (an online brochure that has no other use ie. no shop etc.) and have installed malicious code, apparently. My account was suspended for instances of phishing. Where is their security?! They have lumped all security issues with me - something is really dodgy with these guys. Very, very disappointed. I'm at the stage where I'm going to have to let my URL go and start a new one.

This company is useless! Sending me mis-leading emails and when my domain name expired- after much deliberation with net registry and many weeks of getting screwed around by them (as well as wasting money) they then sold/tipped-off my domain name to another company under the pretence to me that it would soon become available for me to re-purchase on the market. Rather then spending $14 something dollars for a domain name, I had no choice to purchase it from this other website for $370!!! This company is dodgy and doesn't not bother to actually try to help you. Save your self some pain, time , money and trouble and look anywhere else!!!

I just noticed on their contact details (below) , they spelled Sydney "Sidney" very interesting!!
I wish I had have come across this page before I signed up with them in November, 2019.
The first problem I had with this company began from the beginning, and it has not stopped up to today 11th April, 2019.
If you value your sanity, do not sign up with this company. Forget their name and forget they exist!!

Terrible customer service and once they get your credit card get ready for them to start smashing it with extra costs. There is no way to remove your credit card from there records DO NOT DO IT not possible to give zero stars. Finally transferred services away and have had the account canceled

Dont use them the service is terrible, there support people do not care. Simple technical issues take 48hrs if your lucky to get resolved.

Dreadful service, archaic support system.
